Adjective endings with ein-words

Describe nouns after ein, kein, and possessives.

The rule

After ein-words, the adjective supplies missing gender signals: ein guter Mann, ein gutes Kind. When the determiner already marks case clearly, many forms use -en.

ein guter Mann · eine gute Frau · ein gutes Kind · einen guten Mann · meine guten Freunde

Identify case, gender, and number before choosing the ending.

In nominative, masculine takes -er, feminine -e, neuter -es, and plural -en. Masculine accusative takes -en.

All dative forms take -en, and plural determiners already carry an ending.
